About the Role:

As Westhill Painting continues to grow, we’re seeking dedicated painters to join our close-knit team. This full-time position offers Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, providing the perfect balance between work and play. Plus, we’re offering a generous $1,000 sign-on bonus for successfully completing your 6 month probationary period with us!

Your Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces: Filling dints, sealing cracks and applying undercoat
• Apply paint products with brush, roller and occasionally spray gun
• Communicate with customers and team members, bringing attention to any issues found or raising any questions or sharing ideas on how to get a job more efficiently or better quality.
• Keep our work sites clean and organized, reflecting our commitment to professionalism and quality.
• Turn up on time or communicate if you’ll be late
• Be a positive supportive team member 

 

What Your Days Will Look Like:

• Receive a well-organised schedule of painting jobs through our user-friendly app.
• Work to fulfill the job plan, and ticking off stages as they are completed
• Enjoy equal footing with everyone on the team, from apprentices to managers, as we work together towards our goals.

 

About You:

To excel in this role, you’ll need to be:

• Based in the Wodonga/Albury Region
• A skilled painter with a passion for perfection and recent experience in residential painting.
• A licensed driver with reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Someone who thrives in a team environment, but also has the initiative to work independently when needed.
• A positive, reliable individual who genuinely cares about our customers and the quality of work they deliver.
• Able to get a working with childrens check

 

What would make you a poor fit for this role:

• Being only in it for the money. While we do pay excellent above award rates + bonuses, we also want to create an amazing culture and working environment. This means that you're dedicated to helping everyone grow, teaching others if you have more experience and taking on feedback if they have more experience then you. No one is so good that they can’t improve.
• Needing a work sponsorship. While this may be something we will look at down the track, currently we are not set up for this. People who as part of their working visas are needed to work in rural areas are very much welcome to apply though!
• Not willing to do a work trial. Bringing someone into our team is a highly selective process, while we want to make sure your skills are up to scratch, we also want to make sure that you’ll be a great fit with the team.
• Unable to pass a working with police/children check. We often do work for schools or homes with young children, this is a must.
