About the Role
Working within the Admissions Office, the Student Admissions Advisor is the first point of contact for prospective and aspiring students, parents and creative industry professionals. In this full-time role, you will be in daily contact with prospective students to discuss all aspects of course offerings, guiding applications & provide ongoing non-academic support as needed.
The Student Admission Advisor forms a crucial part in supporting prospective students to understand their learning goals, choosing JMC as the place to achieve them, and supporting them with their steps into Tertiary Education.
You will ensure the effective, accurate and timely recruitment and admission of students to JMC Academy and are accountable for upholding service levels and quality standard. The incumbent will use their experience, knowledge and expertise to implement business process improvements within admissions.
What’s involved in your new role:
- Managing and conducting online, in-person and phone enquiries, applications, interviews and auditions with a focus of securing student enrolments
- Directly contacting prospective students to guide their decision to study at JMC
- Utilising our CRM systems to identify prospective students
- Coordinating the Domestic student enrolment process
- Building strong internal and external relationships
- Ensuring student satisfaction and retention
- Attending external expos and career fairs to build brand awareness (when needed)
- Working as a part of a collaborative and supportive campus team on projects and events
How do you know this role is for you?
You will know this role is for you if you:
- Have previous experience working in Student Recruitment and/or Admissions role (Higher education highly desirable)
- Connect with people quickly and easily build strong relationships with a diverse customer base.
- Demonstrate high quality, responsive customer service with excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills
- Are described by others as being highly organised, great at managing your time and meeting deadlines and targets.
- Love working with fast-paced high-volume workload without sacrificing speed or accuracy.
- Have experience in using CRM systems (such as Salesforce or equivalent) and a willingness to learn new systems.
- Enjoy working autonomously, within a team environment and contributing positively to those in our direct team and beyond.
- Have a passion for either the creative arts or further education industry.
- Have a Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
