Scratchleys is a busy restaurant offering great service, superb food and a wonderful ambience.
We are seeking qualified Chefs to join our professional team. The successful candidates will have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be available split shifts & weekends. We offer penalty rates of pay and a professional, fun and safe working environment. Eligible Visa holders welcome. Only serious experienced team playing hospitality candidates need apply!
Education, Qualifications and 5 years Experience Required
- Supervisors and prepares a wide variety of menus, lunch, and dinner
- Estimates food needs, reviews inventory t assure that adequate suppliers are available
- Requisitions food from stock room
- Store the food at the right temperature according to HACCAP expectations
- Maintain occupational Health and Safety
- Managing and Cooking Food Preparation
- Co ordinate’s food service activities to have meals served at a scheduled time
- Supervisors storage and use of leftover foodstuffs and uncooked products
- Inspects, supervisors and participates in the cleaning kitchens
- Trains and instructs employees in cooking, food preparations and food handing
- Assigning reviewing and evaluating work
- Operates all food service equipment and machinery
- May open and secure kitchen and dining facilities
- Maintain records of food prepared and supplies used
- Assists in developing new recipes and products
- Passion for cooking
- Proven dedication safe food handing
- Friendly and approachable
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- A minimum of two years’ experience in an ala carte environment
- Exceptional communication
- A positive, punctual and professional approach
- Excellent attention to detail
- Immaculate personal grooming and presentation
