Il Lago Italian restaurants in Shellharbour and Wollongong are seeking a full time, part-time and casual chef, pizza chef and cook, apprentice chef

What you will do

• Assisting the head chef in overseeing all kitchen operations and directing the food preparation process
•  Cooking and preparing of our catering
•  Ensuring that all dishes meet quality standards, including taste, presentation, and portion size
•  Assisting the Head Chef to create menu items, recipes and develop dishes
•  Supervising, motivating and working closely with other Chefsand cook of all levels
• Training and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety procedures, and hygiene standards.
•  Assisting with determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
•  Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines

About you

• Reliable, Punctual and honest
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a fast pace kitchen is preferred 
• Having knowledge of food safety & hygiene principles
• Available on weekend and able to work on rotating roster
• Passionate about food and thrive under pressure and work with in a team
• Be able to start immediately
