About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to be a part of something special from the ground up. Our club is a hub of community and social activities, and we’re looking for an experienced Sous Chef who will play a crucial role in our team. Reporting to our Head Chef, this role will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene
- Ensuring all dishes are prepared to high standards of quality, presentation and taste
- Working effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction
- Playing a pivotal role in the success and reputation of our new bistro
Pending suitable experience, we would be open to visa sponsorship if required.
Our ideal candidate:
- Someone with previous experience as a Sous Chef in a fast paced & busy bistro, restaurant or similar environment
- Able to work a varying and flexible roster – Bistro is open 7 days a week (Lunch 1130am-2.30pm, Dinner 5.30pm-8.30pm)
- Good attention to detail, organised and manages time well
- Able to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Flexible, adaptable and a “How can I help” mindset, to handle the fast-paced nature of a busy kitchen
- Reliable transport
