About the role:
We are seeking an experienced service technician / fitter to join our team. A typical day will encompass tasks such as performing maintenance, service, repairs, and troubleshooting on various mobile and stationary equipment. This role offers a well-balanced mix of workshop and site-based opportunities, with travel to regional sites as necessary to support our clients. Your knowledge will contribute to the smooth operation and reliability of machines in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance, repairs, service, pre-deliveries and troubleshooting on a range of mobile & stationary equipment, in line with OEM standards.
- Diagnose, fault find and conduct maintenance and repairs to mechanical and hydraulic systems by reading and interpreting technical information, testing pressures and flows, procedures, manuals and applying technical aptitude.
- Diagnose, fault find and conduct maintenance and basic repairs to electrical control systems (12V, 24V) by reading schematics, interpreting technical information, testing voltages and continuity, and applying technical aptitude.
- Provide service and customer support whilst completing works on customer sites, both metro and remote locations.
- Prepare technical reports pertaining to condition of equipment, identifying all remedial works required.
- Compile technical record keeping requirements during works including photographic evidence of works undertaken, settings, checks, balances and any other pertinent OEM standard recording and reporting.
About you:
- Trades Qualification
- Full unrestricted ‘C’ Class Driver’s License – HR and forklift licences desirable
- A minimum 2 years post training experience, with experience in industrial mobile plant, mineral processing, or bulk materials handling equipment preferable
- Experience with reading and interpreting hydraulics and electrical schematics
- Be physically capable of performing manual tasks
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol screen
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Good knowledge of maintenance operations and methods in different environments.
