The Company
Our client is a well-established Case IH Agricultural dealer specialising in new and second-hand agricultural machinery with dealerships located in the Wheat Belt and Midwest Region of Western Australia. Due to recent changes within the business they are looking for an experienced individual to join their team as Service Manager at their Three Springs dealership.
About the Role
As the Service Manager you will be managing a small crew of workshop staff, and assisting the Technicians where required, to complete all workshop and field service work. Your main responsibilities will cover the following two main areas in;
- Service Management
- Technician support
Service Management
- Customer Service and relationship management including: -
- Pre-delivery of new machinery
- Advising farmers on setup and operation of new machinery
- Advising clients in diagnostic and repairs from minor to major work
- Liaising with Case IH service staff on factory requirements
- Managing assembly, overhaul and rebuilds of new and used equipment
- Managing and scheduling all mechanical work for the workshop and field service crew
- Liaising with mechanical staff to ensure they are aware of the scope of work
- Technical advice for workshop staff including EST and warranty management
- Writing up and managing quotes for service, repair, overhauls and warranty
- Scheduling Pre and Post Season equipment services and checks – Seeding & Harvesting
- Liaising with in house parts department for parts procurement, quotes and invoicing

- Pre-Season equipment checks and reports
- Modifications & Upgrades
- Component Change Outs
- New Build Assembly
- New Machine set up and client training
- Overhaul and rebuild
With the broad range of skills required, this position demands a true all-rounder that has technical skills in Agricultural equipment and is flexible in working across several fields whilst being a good time manager. You will be utilising in-house software for parts and scheduling with comprehensive support by department managers and the administrative team.
About the Candidate
We are looking for a candidate who ideally has Agricultural industry exposure as a “Service Manager” or similar at a Dealership / large workshop with at least 2 years experience. You will possess a trade in either of the following;
- Ag Fitting,
- HD Fitting
- Diesel Fitting
- Mechanical Fitting
- Auto Electrical, Light Vehicle or similar (Maybe considered)
Possessing the technical knowledge that allows you to quickly diagnose mechanical faults and having the ability to estimate the requirements of the work regarding number of personnel, parts and time frames is essential.
Focus on customer service is crucial as you will be one of the main representatives of the organisation requiring a high level of professional with both clients and staff.
Been proficient in computers and being able to pick up and navigate parts, scheduling or equipment software is highly desirable. You will also be utilising computers as one of your main business tools for communications and diagnostics.
Candidates that are extremely organised, can cope with tight deadlines and are able to multitask the dynamic workload are highly desirable.
Please Note: It is essential that the successful candidate is able and motivated to work across all areas of the business as required. A valid WA driver’s license is also essential.
Remuneration
A highly competitive package is available, which will include the base hourly rate and superannuation. Commissions, bonuses, assistance with relocation / housing, visa sponsorship, a vehicle and other tools may also be available for the right candidate.
