The team

Our dedicated Contracting team create value and improve the way our clients work. They play a crucial role in providing comprehensive accounting and financial services to our clients internal finance functions on a contractual basis.

The role

The primary purpose of this position is to support in the management of client engagements, mentor and train junior staff, and deliver high-quality accounting solutions to meet clients' needs. The Senior Accountant ensures high quality financial management service to clients while fostering robust relationships and meeting contractual obligations. Your accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Support Supervisors and Managers in meeting client needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Complete tailored Month End sections for clients.
  • Implement process improvements and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Support finance processes and identify improvements.
  • Provide professional guidance on compliance.
  • Build strong client relationships.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and assist with budgeting.
  • Track KPIs and provide performance reporting.
  • Support cash flow management.
  • Provide expertise in management accounting.

About you:

  • you have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
  • you have completed or are studying toward a CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA (Certified Practicing Accountant) qualification or equivalent.
  • you have Significant experience in accounting and statutory reporting, preferably in a public practice or consulting environment.
  • you have strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis techniques.
  • you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate financial data.
  • you have the ability to analyse and interpret financial statements.
  • you are proficient in using accounting software and financial management systems.
  • you have outstanding communication skills, written and spoken, comfortable communicating with individuals across all levels of an organisation.
  • you have extensive experience in writing reports, observations and communicating results and outcomes to varied audiences.
  • you are committed to and understand the importance of relationship building, with your colleagues, community and your clients.
