An integral part of our team at The Wesley Hospital as a Senior Business Development & Events Advisor, you will be responsible for planning and executing exceptional events to directly support business growth and stakeholder engagement.
The role will work closely with the Head of Business Development on a diverse range of events - both large and small - in addition to targeted business development initiatives that are directly linked to The Wesley Hospital’s growth strategy.

Please note, this is 12 month, maximum term maternity leave contract, with the potential for extension.
Your part in our UnitingCare team:
- Design, plan and execute internal stakeholder events, functions and networking events for medical specialists.
- Plan and coordinate cyclical educational events for General Practitioners.
- Manage website content to support business development initiatives and create communications materials e.g. digital newsletters and resources to promote events and support business development focus areas.
- Identify and recruit potential sponsors for activities and events.
- Develop targeted promotions and marketing campaigns in collaboration with Hospital Marketing team.
- Promote The Wesley Hospital medical specialists to GP and general communities through the creation of digital and printed communications.
- Develop and manage event budget for each event including invoicing, payments and sponsorship.
- Maintenance of business development and marketing database and collation of feedback and outcomes reporting for events.
What makes a difference for us?
- Tertiary qualifications in a Marketing, Business or Business Development field or equivalent (desirable).
- Proven experience in event and function management, ideally with experience interacting with the medical community, including GPs and specialists.
- Computer literacy skills at an intermediate level, including the use of database systems with excellent data entry skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, set priorities and multi task.
- A current Queensland open driver’s licence.
