About the role

Boundary Creek Timber is seeking an experienced Saw Doctor to join our team on a full-time basis. As the Saw Doctor, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various types of saws used in our timber processing operations, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.

What you'll be doing

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair a range of saws circular saws up to 66" diameter 
• Sharpen, tension, and balance saw blades to ensure precise cutting and maximum efficiency
• Perform preventative maintenance on saw components to minimise downtime and optimise operational performance
• Maintain detailed records of saw maintenance and repair activities
• Provide guidance and support to the wider production team to maintain efficiency in operations

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Saw Doctor or in a similar industrial saw maintenance role
• Strong technical expertise in the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a variety of industrial saws
• Experience in Carbide tipped Circular saws
• Strong understanding of Levelling and Tensioning
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills 
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the production team
