About the role

Our company is going through a significant period of growth. Working as part of the Finance and Procurement function and reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will play an integral role within the company, liaising with our suppliers, maintaining adequate stock levels within agreed parameters, ensuring continuity of supply and accuracy of inventory data to deliver excellent customer service for both our internal & external customers.

The successful candidate will be a team player, possess attention to detail, be able to work autonomously, and leverage their experience in procurement and purchasing to contribute to adding value through process improvement, inventory control and materials cost management.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Procurement of raw materials to fulfil demand driven from customer and production orders.
  • Liaising with local suppliers to co-ordinate & ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Working closely with the Procurement manager in maintaining & developing supplier relationships.
  • Key role in the Expired materials Workgroup
  • Organizing Freight Forwarding 
  • Conducting routine supplier reviews, measuring and monitoring supplier service levels, 
  • Communicating and managing delays of material shortages to internal stakeholders such as liaising with sales and production to ensure timely procurement of all materials.
  • Working closely with Finance colleagues on cost comparisons of materials and suppliers
  • Assisting the Procurement manager in negotiation of the best possible price for all materials.
  • Partnering with the R&D and Quality teams in sourcing new or unique materials.
  • Identifying potential suppliers required and existing materials with keen eye for pricing and quality

A Degree in a related discipline is desirable
