This hotel is part of Don Hodge Group who own and operate multiple pubs across Sydney, Newcastle and Regional NSW and have commenced building our next venture, our first greenfield site in Sydney's southwest. This brand new site is set to open early 2025.

The hotel we are recruiting for is Warners at the Bay, a true destination pub for the Lake Mac and surrounding areas.

It has recently seen extensive upgrades and renovation throughout, however still has some very exciting changes to roll out in 2025. 

We expect the successful candidate to:

• Manage a team (30+) with the ability to communicate well, develop staff knowledge and build a positive staff culture.
• Be present on the floor and lead by example during peak service periods. 
• Maintain compliance practices.
• Work closely with the venues senior management to grow all facets of the business.
• Have a desire to want to learn more and develop their skills to a higher level, with the intention of stepping into an Assistant or Venue Management position. 

Tasks expected to perform include:

• Directing and overseeing reservation, reception, room service, and housekeeping activities
• Supervising security arrangements, and garden and property maintenance
• Planning and supervising bar, restaurant, function, and conference activities
• Ensuring compliance with liquor, gaming, and other laws and regulations
• Assessing and reviewing customer satisfaction
• Overseeing accounting and purchasing activities
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
• Providing guests with local tourism information, and arranging tours and transportation (if required)

There will be the potential for any successful candidates to learn, train and develop for a few years before transferring to one of our other venues in Sydney or Newcastle.

On top of your annual salary we are offering:

• $1000 sign on bonus
  -$250 on arrival
  -$750 after probation period ends
• $5200 food and beverage allowance annually
  -$100 per week for in house food and beverage purchases, conditions apply
