About the Role

This is a high-impact leadership position where you will manage the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and sustainability in sourcing raw materials, packaging, and ingredients. As a key decision-maker, you will shape procurement strategy, strengthen supplier partnerships, and optimize global sourcing. You will also lead and mentor a team of two purchasing officers, fostering a high-performance culture that enhances efficiency and collaboration. Your leadership and people skills will be essential in building supplier relationships and working cross-functionally across the business. Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for sustainable, cost-effective supply.
  • Align procurement with production needs, business growth, and market trends.
  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving and process improvements.

2. Supplier Sourcing, Management & Negotiation

  • Build strong relationships with local and international suppliers to ensure quality and continuity.
  • Lead negotiations for competitive pricing and favorable contracts.
  • Regularly evaluate supplier performance to ensure efficiency and quality.

3. Cost Control & Budget Management

  • Analyze procurement costs to identify savings while ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with finance to manage budgets and forecasts.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives that balance quality and operational needs.

4. Food Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure procurement complies with food safety regulations and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Mitigate risks related to supply chain, quality issues, and shortages.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and maintain a competitive edge.

5. Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization

  • Work with operations and logistics to optimize inventory levels.
  • Minimize waste and ensure production continuity.
  • Adjust strategies to meet seasonal or market-driven demand changes.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with R&D, operations, and quality teams to align procurement with business goals.
  • Support product innovation by sourcing new ingredients and packaging.

7. Data-Driven Decision-Making & Reporting

  • Use ERP systems to track procurement trends, supplier performance, and costs.
  • Provide insights to drive executive procurement decisions.
  • Produce regular reports on procurement performance and risk management.

8. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of two purchasing officers, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Provide training and development to enhance team capabilities.
