The Role
Opportunity have become available for reliable and hard-working Farm Supervisor looking for a stable and long-term opportunity within our farming team based in Carisbrook, Victoria. This role is key to our poultry farming operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of our laying facility, ensuring the well-being of our poultry, and maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare. Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Carisbrook Farm Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities on the laying farm
• Ensure the proper feeding, health, and comfort of the birds
• Monitor animal behaviour and heath, identifying and addressing issues promptly
• Maintain accurate records related to animal health, production, and inventory
• Implement/maintain biosecurity measures to prevent spread of diseases
• Collaborate with Kinross’ veterinarian and Farming Operations Manager to optimise animal care
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges as they arise
• Participate in farm improvement initiatives and projects
Required Skills and Experiences
• Experience in farm management, preferably in rearing livestock/poultry
• Knowledge of animal husbandry practices highly advantageous
• Ability to handle and care for animals in a humane and ethical manner
• Good organisational and record-keeping skills
• Knowledge of biosecurity protocols and farm safety practices
• Certificate/diploma in agriculture (poultry) preferred
