Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Plant Mechanic Leading Hand your responsibilities will involve the hands-on supervision of a crew of 12 Trades as well as carrying out mechanical repairs and maintenance to equipment enrolled within the contract.
WesTrac's Small Engines department focus on assembling & delivering high quality new mobile mining equipment to our customer base which includes various mining companies across WA, whilst ensuring optimum safety and efficiency throughout the entire build process.
The successful candidate will possess a positive leadership style, with exceptional time-management skills and the ability to pivot as different priorities arise.
Location: South Guildford - Small Engines
Roster: 5/2 (Monday to Friday). 6am - 4.30pm including half an hour meal break
Essential Criteria:
- Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel Trade Certificate with post trade experience
- Previous experience in a leadership or Leading Hand position desirable.
- Understanding of Caterpillar Equipment and CAT Warranty Process.
- AMT, SIS, DBS knowledge for daily work order control and management.
- Strong mechanical skills including fault finding and diagnostic.
- Ability to provide positive leadership, manage people & resolve conflict.
