Seagrass Early Learning and Out of School Hours Care is a place where all children are valued for their individuality and nurtured to develop to their full potential. With its fun, safe, friendly atmosphere, Our centre is where children look forward to attending and where parents feel welcomed and supported.

We are a not-for-profit organisation with 40 places For School Hours and Vacation Care. Seagrass Early Learning is a 58-place Centre in Australia's  Northern Territory, Groote Eylandt, Alyangula community. 

We seek passionate, strong and enthusiastic Diploma Qualified Educators with a deep understanding of child development and exceptional educational programming skills to support the holistic development of children at our after-school care programs.

Qualifications & experience

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Experience in working with children.
  • Profound knowledge of child development principles.
  • Advanced skills in designing and implementing educational programs.
  • Flexible approach to work across different age groups.
  • Strong pedagogical philosophy.
  • Ability to engage with 5- to 12-year-old students in the after-school care service.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Ability to relate effectively with children and their families.
  • Plan and deliver educational programs in line with National Framework, My Time, Our Place for both after school care and Holiday programs (Vacation care ).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning
