DETAILS.
We are looking for a full-time Notice Distributor/Traffic Controller/Yardsman to join our team in Arndell Park working within the Asphalt Industry. This role is crucial in supporting our operations and ensuring the efficient distribution of work notification and coordination of on-site activities. This is not a standalone traffic control position but rather you having the skills and an IMP ticket will assist with understanding the complexities within the Industry. You will be expected however, to go to site to assist in traffic control if required. 

What you will be doing.

• Distributing notices to Residents of upcoming works in designated suburbs throughout Sydney on a sometimes daily basis and/or as required.
• Reporting on possible on-site problems ahead of time and assisting in rectifying potential issues.
• Assisting with yard duties such as garden maintenance, weeding, edging, mowing when not on site.
• Assisting with vehicle maintenance duties such as vacuuming and washing when not on site.
• Supporting the wider team with various general duty tasks such as picking up and dropping off items, assisting with vehicle/machine repairs if needed as an extra pairs of hands.
• Providing traffic control services to ensure the safety of our team and the public on work sites if and when required.

Your day will be varied depending on work flow, some weeks you will spend most hours of each day driving to site, distributing notices, reporting on onsite issues, returning to the office assisting with the smooth coordination of daily works. When not carrying out notice work you will be filling in your time with garden & yard maintenance and other adhoc duties as described above. In addition, there may be some onsite Traffic Control duties when required (note - this is not a standalone Traffic Control position). 

What we are looking for.

Ideally the successful candidate will have proven experience with a background in the Asphalt and Construction Industry.

• Experience in a similar labour or distribution role.
• Be reliable and punctual.
• Have a flexible approach to getting the job done with a sense of urgency and in a timely manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised, and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's licence and good driving record a must (NO LICENCE NO START).
• Hold an Industry White card.
• Hold an IMP ticket (Implement Traffic plans into a work zone).
• Forklift ticket an advantage.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
