Due to the current high demand and limited supply of skilled Heavy Vehicle Truck Drivers in Australia, Ron Finemore Transport has created a new role focussed on finding and relocating skilled drivers from overseas.
About the Role
The Mobility / Migration Advisor will report directly to the CEO and is based in Wodonga, a major regional centre on the border of VIC/NSW.
This exciting new role is a new direction for the company. The key focus is the recruitment, employment, migration and relocation of overseas drivers into Australia, as well as assisting the drivers and their families settle in once they have arrived.
This new position will also play a key role in developing policies aimed at attracting and retaining the Australian workforce, while addressing short to medium term labour market gaps through the recruitment of overseas drivers.
Main responsibilities include:
- Design and deliver the Recruitment Strategy for the Skills in Demand (SID) 482 visa applicants
- Manage and deliver the end-to-end process from advertising, recruitment and interviewing through to testing, training and induction once in Australia
- Manage Labour Agreement Sponsorship and Visa Nominations for all candidates
- Manage all Travel and Relocation along with Financial Support assistance where required
- Assist with long term settlement
- Manage the EIS Subclass 186 Visa (Post 3 Years) process and employees
- Manage all processes, people and procedures related to the Cancellation of Visas and Relocation
- Ensure all relocation candidates and their families feel supported and welcomed into their new role and country
- Work closely with the Operations teams to ensure the smooth integration of overseas drivers
About you
Being a new role, you will have the drive, determination, diplomacy skills to create and implement all processes and procedures required to get things up and running.
You will have previous experience finding and bringing overseas candidates into Australia. You have a detailed understanding and knowledge of the laws and regulations governing visa applications, migration and settlement into regional locations.
Your interpersonal skills are excellent being able to communicate with and relate to people at all levels and from varying backgrounds and countries. This is a busy, dynamic role with multiple tasks occurring at the same time. Hence your ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring a high attention to detail will be paramount.
Your Skills, Knowledge and Experience will include:
- Three plus years in a similar role being responsible for the recruitment, employment, migration, relocation and settlement of SID 482 candidates from overseas
- Previous roles designing and implementing policies and strategies focussed on the attraction and retention of staff
- Detailed knowledge of immigration law, SID 482 visa applications and EIS Subclass 186 Visa (Post 3 yrs) visa processes
- Assisting candidates settle into Australia, including financial assistance
- Experience in the transport, logistics, distribution industries will be an advantage
