Mechanical Fitter

Reporting to the Hydraulics Supervisor, the Hydraulic Fitter will be responsible for the overhaul, repair, and machine and manufacture of replacement components including hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic pumps and pump drives. This will involve the operation of machinery and general workshop duties, and will be completed in a collaborative, team environment with a strong focus on safety.
Location: South Guildford
Roster: 5 Days 2 Off, 5 Nights, 2 Off - 2 week rotating roster - 10 hour shifts.
Day: 6am-4:30pm, Night: 4pm-2:30am
To be successful the following is required:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Fitter or Machinist, Engineering)
- Experience in component overhauls highly desirable; hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic pumps and pump drives
- Hydraulic cylinder and pump disassembly and assembly experience
- Valid Forklift and Dogging Tickets is highly desirable
- Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's
- Computer literate
- Positive attitude and great work ethic
