Marano’s Fuel has an exciting opportunity for a full time highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join their workshop team. As the Mechanical Engineering Technician you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintenance on the Company’s fleet of modern trucks. 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Diagnose/repairing mechanical/electrical issues on fleet
• Effectively service trucks/trailers in accordance with maintenance schedules
• Compiling and maintaining maintenance records for work performed
• Interpreting diagnostics, fault finding and troubleshooting
• Provide recommendations to Management re truck repairs/part replacements
• Work as part of a team to ensure fleet repairs are completed in a timely manner
• Adhering to Company policies on Workplace, Health and Safety
• Keeping up to date with latest automotive technologies and repair techniques

Qualities we are looking for:

• Formal qualifications in automotive technology or similar field
• Minimum 3-years experience
• Attention to detail with commitment to delivering high quality work
• Strong problem solving skills with ability to identify/resolve complex issues
• Good communication skills with ability to work alone or part of a team
• Valid drivers licence
