An exciting opportunity to lead Marketing, Events and Communications for the award-winning McLaren Vale Hotel.
The McLaren Vale Hotel is one part of the Palmer Hospitality Group, with a portfolio of hospitality assets, including: 2KW Bar & Restaurant, Highway Hotel, Warradale Hotel, Morphett Arms Hotel, AGSA_eats, Paloma Bar & Pantry, arkhé (Norwood) & Clink at Tintara.
Nestled in one of Australia’s oldest and most acclaimed wine regions, The McLaren Vale Hotel is a special place in the Australian psyche, performing a kind of civic service from meeting place to eating place, drinking place, local grapevine and general barometer of the local community – particularly in rural areas.
Having recently won the regional BEST HOTEL IN AUSTRALIA award, as well as the state award for Bar presentation and Experience, the Hotel consists of Bar, Dining, Retail, Gaming, Weddings and Events, plus a 6-month pop up bar ‘CLINK @ Tintara (An outdoor venue on the beautiful grounds of Hardy’s Tintara.)
The Role
As Marketing / Communications, Events and community relations coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our marketing and events strategies while showcasing your creative flair and immersing the Hotel into the local community. You will coordinate brand consistency across all marketing communications, enhancing McLaren Vale Hotels presence, while building new and fostering current collaborative relationships with customers, partners and the McLaren Vale wine and general community.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Venue Manager, the key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Creating, coordinating and reviewing marketing strategies that align with the McLaren Vale Hotel’s brand.
- Connect and immerse McLaren Vale Hotel with the Local and Regional wine & tourism communities
- Coordinating the brand and marketing initiatives
- Maintaining schedules for marketing initiatives
- Maintaining company website
- Creating and managing content for social media
- Coordinating and managing events including the six month pop-up addition of CLINK @ TINTARA
- A focus on growing Events including Weddings
- Organising and coordinating marketing collateral
- Coordinating brand consistency within the marketplace
Credentials
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Media/Public Relations or proven experience
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
- Strong knowledge of industry standard social media platforms and website management
- Strong knowledge of marketing and communication techniques
- Strong ability to meet deadlines
- Strong ability to engage in the local community, particularly the wine community.
- Previous experience in a Marketing role would be highly regarded
- Excellent level of attention to details and a strong eye for aesthetic composition
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive in taking initiative to collaborate with the local community.
