Laundry Australia P/L is a growing Laundry & Dry-Cleaning Business with 50 years of industry experience. We have a full-time career position available for a Maintenance Technician. Serving the greater Brisbane area, our ongoing expansion and modernization efforts present an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in our growing operations.

Purpose of the position
Coordinate and ensure the maintenance and repair of electronic, electrical (low voltage) and mechanical components, establishing corrective and preventive processes for commercial laundry machinery.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with a rotational weekend roster for on-call emergency breakdown repairs as required.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Carry out daily/weekly/monthly scheduled preventive maintenance for machinery by performing periodic tests and considering the maintenance requirements of all factory machines, equipment and control systems.
- Develop corrective and preventive maintenance programs for factory machines.
- Perform urgent diagnoses of machine failures and repair equipment to ensure it functions correctly.
- Respond to electromechanical incidents in the factory’s equipment and controls by carrying out the appropriate diagnosis and trying to minimize the impact on production.
- Monitor and review the required maintenance tasks, following current regulations and applying internal quality and occupational health and safety parameters.
- Carry out improvement projects such as the installation of electronic and mechanical equipment, including control and programming systems.
- Recommend initiatives to improve laundry operational performance and optimize machinery efficiency.
- Advise and train machine operators on correct procedures and basic breakdown care.
- Manage reports on equipment downtime, recommending initiatives that lead to improved equipment availability, reducing downtime and overall repair costs.
- Manage and control expenses with specific suppliers and coordinate them with management.
Qualifications, Skills and Technical Requirements:
- Trade Qualification: Electronic, Mechanical and/or Electrical.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in plant or production maintenance.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and work independently while managing competing priorities.
- White card
- Driver’s license
- Competent in plant and equipment assessment and fault-finding techniques.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
