Our Maintenance Company has a requirement for a Shift Maintenance Fitter to join their team at Sydney Airport with majority of work being carried out in Freight terminals and surrounding facilities.

In this secure role supporting long term Maintenance Contracts you will be providing ongoing preventative and reactive maintenance to equipment such as Hydraulic and mechanically driven roller decks, hoists, truck docks and freight transfer vehicles to ensure the smooth running and operations of the sites. From time to time upgrade and modification work is carried out on the maintained assets by the maintenance teams.

The position is rotating shift work based.  Monday to Friday. Weekend overtime available up to 2 to 3 days per month once fully trained. 

Monthly rostered days off which can be minimally accrued.

Normal penalty rates apply to shift loading and overtime

The Rotating Shift position can offer work/life balance for the successful applicant. You will need to be a Qualified Fitter or similar experience in the areas mentioned above, be able to pass Federal Police Checks to hold an ASIC Card and pass a Drug & Alcohol Test.

The ability to carry out basic welding repairs is an advantage. EWP, Forklift, Working at height and Confined Space Tickets will also be advantageous.
