The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients’ operations are fully prepared for safe and efficient start-up and ongoing production. Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Plans: Lead the creation of comprehensive operations readiness plans and procedures to ensure smooth transitions from project phases to operational status
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project teams to integrate operational requirements into project planning and execution
- Risk Management: Lead the conducting of thorough risk assessments, identify potential issues, and develop effective mitigation strategies to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards
- Technical Support: Lead teams in providing expert technical support during feed, commissioning and start‑up phases, troubleshooting issues and ensuring systems are fully operational
- Training and Mentorship: Assist in developing and delivering training programs for operations personnel, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle operational challenges
- Performance Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving operational performance and implement best practices
- Documentation: Ensure detailed records of operations readiness activities, including plans, procedures, risk assessments, and training materials are maintained
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on readiness status and addressing any concerns
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to continuously improve operations readiness processes, incorporating lessons learned and industry advancements
- Line Management: Lead a team of Operations Readiness Engineers and supplementary service engineers in delivering operations readiness scopes
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations readiness within the Energy sector
- Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is a plus
Required Experiences:
- Operations Readiness: At least 7 years of hands-on experience in operations readiness within the Energy sector, including Oil & Gas, petrochemicals, renewables, or other energy-related fields
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing and coordinating complex projects, ensuring all operational requirements are integrated and met
- Safety and Environmental Compliance: Extensive knowledge and practical experience in adhering to safety and environmental regulations, with a track record of implementing compliance measures
- Commissioning and Start-Up: Demonstrated expertise in providing technical support during the commissioning and start-up phases of projects, including troubleshooting and resolving operational issues
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Strong background in conducting risk assessments, identifying potential operational risks, and developing effective mitigation strategies
- Training and Development: Experience in developing and delivering training programs for operations personnel, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, commissioning, project management, maintenance and operations, to optimize performance and achieve project goals
- Offshore Operations: Experience with offshore operations is highly desirable, including familiarity with the unique challenges and requirements of offshore environments
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for operations readiness, project management, and risk assessment
- Continuous Improvement: A track record of leading initiatives to improve operations readiness processes, incorporating lessons learned and industry best practices
- Certifications: Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or other relevant certifications is a plus
