You’ll enjoy working at Deswik as a Key Account Manager if you enjoy genuinely partnering with customers, developing new business, and solving interesting problems.  

Combine your extensive mine planning experience as a Mining Engineer, Geologist, Surveyor or other mining professional along with your exceptional interpersonal and commercial skills to oversee and grow Deswik’s customer base in WA. 

Given Deswik’s global reach, there will be some travel. The preferred location for this position is Perth, and we would also consider candidates based in Brisbane or Adelaide. 

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop new business, draft proposals and negotiate contracts
  • Build collaborative relationships with customer stakeholders, including site technical teams, managers, and corporate executives
  • Support the planning and delivery of high-quality software implementations and consulting services
  • Innovate in applying Deswik technology (including our enterprise solutions) to solve complex mining problems
  • Exceed customer expectations by delivering increased value from existing investments and building genuine partnerships
  • Manage customer relationships professionally, addressing any issues or concerns promptly
  • Engage in global knowledge sharing with our team of over 100 mining consultants and technical sales professionals.

About You: 
  • You have held previous sales or customer relationship management roles and dealt with commercial negotiations
  • Degree-qualified in Mining Engineering, Geology, Survey or similar technical qualification.
  • Significant experience in the mining industry, holding senior technical or operational positions
  • Solid understanding of site operations and the mining industry
  • Understanding of mining engineering and mining technical problems
  • Skilled in assembling people, technology, and processes to create mine planning systems
  • Capable of supporting change management in large organizations and delivering value through your people skills
  • You have a restless desire for things to be done better
  • In your work, you use both EQ and IQ to solve problems and are known for doing what you say you will do
  • You are great with technology and will become an expert in communicating the value of Deswik solutions(fluency with Deswik tools is a distinct advantage).
