Joiner

Maria Projects is looking for a full time joiner for our factory in Ingleburn.

We are a team of joinery specialists with a clean and busy workshop in Sydney south west. Our website mariaprojects.com shows what kind of work we do.

We focus on exhibition stands building and custom joinery fabricating, both commercial and residential. And we are looking for a joiner to become a new team member and take the lead, have a good work ethic and be able to overlook joiners and cabinet makers of the factory floor. 

Duties:

• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine job requirements.
• Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling timber and timber composite materials for precision joinery work.
• Fabricating and assembling custom timber elements.
• Using Panel Saw, Edgebander, and various power tools (routers, saws, drills, etc.) to shape and construct joinery components.
• Performing detailed joinery techniques, including laminating, mitre joining, curved cabinet construction, and other intricate woodwork.
• Installing non-structural timber, timber composite, or metal components in buildings, ensuring precision and high-quality finishes.
• Ensuring all joinery work meets high-quality craftsmanship and safety standards.
• Operating and setting up CNC machinery (if applicable) to produce precision-cut joinery components.
• Collaborating with team members and site supervisors to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, attention to detail, and adherence to project specifications.

Skills and experience

• At least three year of experience in custom joinery production
• Proficiency in using power cutting and sanding tools (routers, saws, etc.)
• Experience in building curved structures and laminating
• Experience in joinery installation
• Building furniture such as bookshelves, cabinets or tables
• Read and interpret shop drawings
• Work in team environment

Qualifications:

A trade-qualified Joiner or an individual with sufficient experience in the field, which may substitute for formal qualification.

Salary: AUD 70000-75000 + Super
