Job Purpose Statement
This is a dual role providing HR and Office support to the Sydney Office. As the HR Administrator, the ideal candidate will support the HR department in various administrative tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This role involves assisting with recruitment, employee records management, and providing general HR support to employees. As the Office Administrator, the ideal candidate will be responsible for general administrative tasks for the Sydney Office.They ensure that all office administrative functions are coordinated to achieve a high level of productivity and work closely with the leadership team by handling clerical duties and organizing meetings.
This role can be part time or full time.
Responsibilities
The HR and Office Administrator will be responsible for the following tasks. Please note this list is not exhaustive.
HR Activities (70%)
- Manage the end to end recruitment process including preparation of job descriptions, screening of candidates, arranging interviews and conducting the necessary employment checks
- Preparation of employment contracts and maintenance of employee records
- Assist in the onboarding of new hires and offboarding of departing employees including management of employee assets
- Preparation of HR documents including policies, processes and procedures
- Assist in organising HR events and training session
- Management of the annual performance review process
- Assist in the visa sponsorship process for skilled workers with outsourced advisors
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
- Assist in preparing the HR information for Board meetings and any other presentations
Office Administration (30%)
- Providing administrative support to the Management and the team, including scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, handling correspondence and maintain filing systems
- Track and replace office supplies
- Act as liaison between the company, staff and office building management, providing information, answering questions, and responding to requests.
- Coordinate activities throughout the Company to ensure efficiency and maintain compliance with company policy
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned and required by Management, including participation in project work.
Requirements & Attributes of a Successful Candidate
Education:
Preferred Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent
Pre-requisite:
Legally authorised to work in Australia
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in an HR administrative role preferred. Open to applicants seeking part-time employment
- Experience in the construction industry preferred
