Neighbours Cafe is a new cafe which has recently opened in Newcastle CBDs best location. It is a cafe which will become a Newcastle institution known for its quality food, service and general feel.We thrive as business owners to be the best in the business. 

We are seeking a talented and creative chef to run the kitchen at Neighbours.The kitchen is an open kitchen which has been designed by one of Newcastles best designers( including a mibrasa charcoal oven ). We currently own 3 businesses and we’ve owned cafes and restaurants in Newcastle CBD for over 10 years. Although we do not regularly cook on the line, we work HANDS ON every day. This is a true ‘Heads Chefs’ role. This is NOT just a cooks role. It requires the ability to understand all aspects of a busy, compact and extremely efficient kitchen! Hours are roughly 6.00am to 3.00pm 5 days a week including weekends. We encourage regular holidays and planned time off. Most of our staff are very long term employees due to the support and security we provide to our staff. Use your ideas to titillate our extremely loyal customers. Our social media and consistent positive reviews from traditional media forums means our customers come from all over the city. We are 'foodie' leaders in the Newcastle CBD area

Qualifications & experience

Must have leadership experience 

Must have knowledge of current food trends 

Experience in managing a team 

Experience working with FOH

MUST be able to communicate with staff and owners alike
