The Gladstone Hotel in Stockton, Newcastle aka ' The Gladdy' is reopening late Summer 2025 with new ownership, and a totally different vibe.

This beautiful old girl will be home to a cafe, public bar, bottle shop, dining rooms, event spaces, and accommodation. 

We are looking for an experienced and driven Bar Manager to help captain this new beginning and stamp their name on what has the potential to become a Newcastle institution.

So, about the new Gladdy: We've pulled out the gaming and wagering and are leaning in on the food and beverage program, community focus, live music and of course, sports.

Our food narrative is contemporary Australian and will always be based on the best possible local, domestic, and sustainable produce in season. 

The beverage programming will be more boutique and independently geared. 

An Australian-forward product range will be our angle.

Stage 1: we'll be opening our cafe and bed & breakfast style accommodation which will run 7-days. The bar will ramp up over time, starting with a simple bar menu.

Stage 2: As the team builds, we’ll get to opening of our dining room and events spaces.
