Cock & Bull Tavern is currently seeking GRILL CHEF to work in a busy and fast paced kitchen.

Duties/responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Ensure hotel menus, food standards, procedures and processes are followed.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with hotel owners and leaders to provide quality food and prompt service to our many regular customers.
  • Create a positive working environment.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen premises and follow all workplace hygiene procedures and regulations.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Ensuring kitchen equipment is maintained.

Skills/experience

  • Prior experience is recommended, but not essential. We will train the right person up from scratch! 
  • Trade qualified: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent with experience. 
  • Previous experience in high volume food preparation and high-volume customer environment.
  • High level of interpersonal, communication and team skills.
  • Professional dress and grooming standards along with a high standard in customer service.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work various shifts including nights & weekends.
  • The ability to work individually and in a team environment.
