Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the Machinist will be responsible for operating various manual lathes/borers milling machines, and/or CNC machines for the salvage and reconditioning of Caterpillar components. This work will be completed in a collaborative, team environment with a strong focus on safety.
Location: South Guildford
Roster: 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off
To be successful the following is required:
- Australian recognised First Class Machinist OR Fitter Machinist Trade Certificate is essential for our Machinist role
- Experience in manual machining and/or CNC experience is essential
- Use of safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's
- Experience in reading engineering drawings and producing quality work within quoted tolerances
- Forklift, rigging and dogging licenses are advantageous or willing to obtain
