As the Director - you will lead, inspire and mentor educators to ensure the service is providing a high-quality early childhood education in a remote Aboriginal community. You are responsible for overseeing the operations of the centre, where you will support and warmly welcome children and families.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year’s experience in a managerial role or extensive 2IC experience.

Selection Criteria
- Organisational skills including general organising, planning, time management, scheduling, coordinating resources and meeting deadlines
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of, and commitment to comply with the organisation’s code of ethics, vision (spirit), policies and procedures and to support the organisations culture
- Experience in building successful relationships with staff, families and community
- Experience in achieving excellence at management level in an early education and care setting
- Experience in managing staff including staff performance, recruitment and performance appraisals
- A commitment to continuous improvement and efficiencies in service delivery
- Knowledge of relevant state and commonwealth laws and regulations
- Be eligible to work in Australia and willing to relocate to Kununurra
- Diploma in early childhood/ACECQA approved equivalent or above
- A current WA Working with Children Check
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance
- A valid driver’s licence
- First Aid & CPR certificates or willing to obtain
