This role is responsible for:

• Assume the role of Centre Director in their absence (training will be provided).
• Supervising other employees and working with individual and groups of children.
• Ensure the health, safety, security and well-being of all children and staff within the service.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and reporting requirements
• Creating a safe, supportive, stimulating, and educational environment for Children to learn and thrive.
• Assisting with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs throughout the Centre.
• Developing working relationships and mentor colleagues.
• Collaborating effectively with our passionate team of professionals. 

About you:

• A passion for early years education, commitment to ongoing education and training to ensure adoption of best practice and emerging education programs.
• Current knowledge of children’s developmental stages.
• Detailed understanding and application of Education and Care Services National Regulations.
• A track record in building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Is a team player, enjoys working with a vibrant and passionate team of professionals, with a passion for what you do!

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Hold an ACECQA approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ECT Qual).
• Prior leadership experience essential, including at least in a Room Leader role. 
• Have excellent working knowledge of the NQS & EYLF.
• Current first aid certificate and valid blue card.
• Desirable asthma & anaphylaxis and child protection training.
• Permanent residents are preferred, but onshore applicants with relevant experience and seeking sponsorship are also encouraged to apply.
