About Us

Concrete Pumping Queensland Pty Ltd is the largest and most experienced team of mobility concrete boom pump operators in Central Queensland. The company is based in Rockhampton and Emerald, with sub-branches in Clermont and Moranbah. Our project work extends as far as Longreach and Roma in Queensland. Our services include concrete pumping for a wide range of projects, from small house slabs to large industrial, commercial, civil, and mining jobs.

There are 2 positions available 1 located in Emerald and 1 located in Rockhampton. 

We require a Diesel Motor Mechanic to be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing concrete pumping machinery and related equipment, with a focus on concrete hydraulic systems. This role involves diagnosing faults, conducting preventative maintenance, and ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of all diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Servicing and Maintenance:
    • Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on Concrete Pumping QLD plant, equipment, machinery, and vehicles as directed.
    • Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and mobile equipment to enhance performance and safety.
  • Fault Diagnosis and Repair:
    • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults in engines and associated components.
    • Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components for inspection and repair.
    • Repair and replace worn and defective parts, reassembling mechanical components as per service manuals.
  • Scheduled Maintenance:
    • Carry out scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to ensure optimal vehicle performance and compliance with environmental regulations.
    • Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs to ensure proper performance.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Utilize diagnostic tools and computers to detect and analyze faults in machinery.
    • Maintain, test, and repair diesel motors and mechanical parts of heavy vehicles, including transmissions, suspension, steering, and brakes.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Undertake other relevant duties as required, including responding to vehicle breakdown service calls.
    • Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail necessary work to achieve roadworthiness.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must be, Hard Working, Self-Motivated, Positive, Energetic and Experienced.
  • Trade qualification as a heavy diesel fitter.
  • Hands-on experience with concrete pumps (preferred).
  • Minimum HR driver’s license.
  • Construction Industry White Card.
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.
  • Hardworking, self-motivated, positive, and energetic attitude.
