The Destination Partnerships Specialist provides support to the Destination Partnerships Directors, who are responsible for leading TEQ’s strategic direction for Queensland’s destinations, using a partnership approach with key industry stakeholders including regional tourism organisations, tourism operators, local government, industry associations and internal TEQ departments.

The role will also lead the implementation of TEQ’s Host Program which ensures maximum value is derived from stakeholder engagement opportunities.  This ranges from VIP corporate hospitality ticketing to general attendance at sporting, cultural and lifestyle events across Queensland.

Key duties include:
Assisting with the coordination of destination-specific initiatives including:

  • Various events, programs, projects in partnership with industry, RTOs and tourism operators
  • Famil activity and networking functions aligned to TEQ Board visits across Queensland,
  • Industry engagement webinars, and In-region events and activities.

Working with teams across TEQ to determine the best avenues to drive maximum value from stakeholder engagement opportunities at major events including:

  • Managing the coordination and logistics of invitations, RSVP management and ticketing distribution for major events.
  • Proactively review and improve guidelines and processes for TEQ’s Host Program to ensure effectiveness and efficiency, and
  • Preparing reporting for TEQ’s Host Program.

Providing project management support across the Commercial and Partnerships Group.
