JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE
In this diverse and multi-faceted role, you will play a critical role in the business, ensuring our members are happy, processes are complete, and our high presentation standard is met. You will also assist with daily operational tasks and ensure The Switch brand is brought to life through delivering an exceptional customer experience to our community, guests, and customers.
This role offers around 20 hours per week on a rotating roster that includes weekends and public holidays (typically between the hours of 9am to 7pm). The number of hours would be agreed directly with each applicant based on availability.
This role reports into the Residence Manager.
The hourly rate is:
$25.80 Monday to Friday
$32.25 on Saturdays
$38.70 on Sundays
$58.05 on Public Holidays
International students with a 24-hour restriction are encouraged to apply for the role.

Our common areas include co-working spaces, gym, meeting rooms, car park, pop-up stores, communal kitchen, laundry, honesty kitchen and outdoor areas. The accommodation welcomed its first cohort of guests in late August 2024.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the face of The Switch, proactively lead from the front in all interactions with our members, guests, and customers.
- Work closely with The Switch Team to provide exceptional brand led customer experience.
- Work collaboratively to understand customer needs, problems, interests, and potential ways to succeed.
- Conduct operational and administrative tasks to ensure maximum efficiency in service delivery.
- Assist with general sales tasks such as property viewings and contributing to the sales lifecycle, this includes processing contracts and making alterations, as well as assist with general sales tasks.
- Review, develop and implement administration and technical systems procedures and practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Review and complete all rental document processes, including but not limited to leases and reference checks.
- Receive and handle all communication from internal and external parties, including on social media platforms.
- Assist with ensuring the common areas and apartments are kept to a high standard.
- Nurture and build solid relationships with our community members and partners.
- Liaise with our members to ensure their Switch experience is exceptional. This may include organising, promoting, and conducting events and pop ups.
- Other duties as required.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior work experience in the industries of hospitality, student accommodation, co-working, or customer facing businesses is highly desirable.
- Speaking Mandarin is desirable.
- Have the ability to exercise initiative and judgement, to demonstrate self-sufficiency and flexibility, deal with conflicting and varied demands and have attention to detail.
- Be comfortable with technology and how it is integrated into your day-to-day work.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate and interact positively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to multitask, work unsupervised and proactively to meet targets and timelines.
- Ability to connect and engage with our core customer, generation Z.
- Have a high level of enthusiasm and energy and be a self-starter with a positive mindset.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills in order to be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to uphold best practice objectives while strictly adhering to relevant legislation.
