Join Macmahon as a Commercial Manager for Surface Mining!

Are you ready to lead and excel? Macmahon is seeking a dynamic Commercial Manager to join our Surface Mining team. In this pivotal role, you'll organise, direct, control, and coordinate services and personnel to ensure top-notch financial planning, forecasting, and monitoring of our surface operations. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate experience with contract negotiations, as well as the commercial acumen to deliver improved EBIT performance and optimise operational costs.

About the role

• Ensure all contract documentation is meticulously reviewed by the commercial/legal department.
• Monitor individual contract/site performance, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
• Engage in weekly meetings, providing updates on contractual, business, safety and general matters.
• Organise and attend conferences, sponsorships and other business development opportunities.
• Ensure commercial scheduling, monitoring and reporting processes meet client requirements.

About you

• Bachelor of Commerce or Engineering, with minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Extensive experience in project and contract management.
• Well-versed in all methods of mining.
• Strong familiarity with QA/QC processes and requirements.
• Solid understanding of financial and accounting processes.
