CHESTERTON CUSTOMSEAL is a growing business with production facilities in Wangara, WA and Wetherill Park, NSW. We manufacture high-performance polymer seals (plastics, rubber, Teflon) designed for use in a wide range of hydraulic, pneumatic, and rotating equipment. As the name suggests, we are renowned for our focus on tailored solutions for our customers’ requirements.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a CNC Operator & QA Inspector to join our technical production team at our Wetherill Park facility in NSW. A key focus of the role is being able to work well individually and in a team environment, manufacturing customised sealing solutions on our CNC 2-axis Lathe machines.

This is a hands-on role with CNC operation, quality inspection processes and related tasks. The position is offered on a full-time basis on day shift between 08:00am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday. The successful applicant will be required to travel to our Perth branch to complete a two-week training program upon commencement.

What We’re Looking For:

• CNC machining experience, operating and programming (SIEMENS controls a preference), selecting proper tools, editing programs. Produce parts from drawings to specific tolerances, read and understand engineering/manufacturing drawings and competently work on CNC lathe, manual milling machine and bandsaw.
• Strong mechanical aptitude – you enjoy problem-solving!
• Attention to detail – safety and quality matters in everything we do. You will inspect and verify parts by using precision gauges including Circumference Tape, Electronic Digital callipers, and other measuring equipment.
• A team player who is adaptable and willing to learn.
