About The Role

Due to extensive and on-going business growth, we are looking for a full-time and experienced CNC Machinist, to join our busy Machine Shop department supporting our projects and maintenance departments.

The role will require programming and operating of CNC Lathes and CNC Machining Centre. The work consists of small to medium runs with some one-off and jobbing work.

To be successful in the role you must have the following skills and attributes:

Key Skills:

• Trade qualified Machinist or Fitter and Turner;
• Minimum 5 years of experience programming and operating CNC Lathes and/or CNC Machining Centres in a jobbing shop type environment;
• Ability to read drawings, write programs and set CNC machines accordingly;
• Maintain production of high-quality components;
• Previous experience with Haas VF3 or similar is desirable but not essential;
• Mills and Manual Machines experience necessary;
• Experience working in a workshop environment within a manufacturing business;
• Demonstrated experience in a fast paced, busy and demanding work environment that respond to set work and client breakdowns;
• Ability to work unsupervised and part of a team;
• Willing and able to impart their technical knowledge to others;
• A strong work ethic with a commitment to attendance;
• A positive attitude towards safety;
• Reliable, punctual and well-presented; and
• Willing to work overtime as required
