Executive Chef, Hao Chen's fine art is at the forefront of one Canberra's best venues, which also features a traditional robata grill. RAKU is looking for a talented and passionate Sushi Chef with a great attitude, "can-do" approach and a keen interest in food.

About the role
As the Sushi Chef, your time will be dedicated to producing top quality sushi and sashimi that add to the guests experience at RAKU.
All the chef roles will include but not limited to the following responsibilities:
- Working in a fast-paced, bustling venue with a strong focus on delivering high standards and exceptional product
- Working with a produce-driven menu
- Ability to create and adapt new menu items
- Excellent food preparation and presentation skills
- Open to learning and development
- Career driven team player with creative flair
- Initiative, highly organised and can handle a fast-paced restaurant environment

Skills and experience

- Previous experience in a fast paced, high volume, upmarket restaurant recommended
- Experience and qualification in the field

- Flexible availability across a 7 day a week operation
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine
- Prior sushi experience necessary
