Responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen, and provide professional leadership and direction to kitchen personnel. 

Ensure that all recipes, food preparations and presentations meet restaurant’s specifications and commitment to quality. 

Maintain a safe, orderly and sanitized kitchen. Demonstrate this by example, using proper food-handling techniques.

Position Requirements:

 

-Good planning and organisation skills

-Good arithmetic skills

-Ability to remain calm in hectic circumstances

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1.Preparing daily production list

2. Ensuring that all stations remain stocked before and during the meal period

3. Verifying that kitchen staff follow all recipes and portion servings correctly

4. Keeping kitchen, dish and storage areas clean and organised

5.Placing food and supply orders as directed

6.Receiving products by verifying invoices and freshness of merchandise

7. Assisting with training employees to company standards

8. Setting excellent customer service and work examples

9. Actively participating as a member of the management team

10. Managing staffing levels throughout shift

11. Overseeing kitchen labour and food costs to budgetary requirements

12. Performing additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Head Chef at any time

13. Preparing and serving of all hot and cold entrees, dips, soups, main courses such as beef, lamb, poultry, seafood, vegetarian dishes & desserts of Italian and International Kitchen

14. Monitoring and controlling wastage, portion control on day-to-day basis

15. Responsibility in ensuring food safety and kitchen sanitation as per requirements
