Salary $65,000 - $75,000

 

The Grand Pacific Hotel in Lorne, is seeking a dedicated full time Chef to join their Kitchen team.

Situated on the stunning Great Ocean Road in Victoria, the Grand Pacific Hotel is undergoing a major refurbishment bringing the venue back to it’s former glory.

With multiple indoor and outdoor dining spaces, function spaces including weddings and conferences, this is a wonderful opportunity to join a dynamic kitchen team.

The successful candidate will have experience working in high volume commercial kitchens, and the ability to control and run their own section.

Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and cook dishes for our patrons in our restaurant and during events/conferences 
  • Prepare and create dishes for the menu
  • Oversee kitchen staff and manage their schedules
  • Train and mentor kitchen team members
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations 
  • Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with management to develop ideas for the venue 
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment

Key Attributes:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • A passion for providing high quality food.
  • Excellent knowledge of local and international cuisine.
  • Have a strong emphasis on quality, speed of service, cleanliness and organisation.
  • Ability to adapt and work in different sections as required.  
  • Ability to follow direction from kitchen management team at all times.

482 or 186 Visa Sponsorship is available for the right candidate. Salary for this full time position is between $65,000 - $75,000 per annum excluding superannuation.
