About the Position:
We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our dynamic team at our café. This position offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and contribute to the success of our café. If you are passionate about cooking and meet the required experience, we would be delighted to welcome you to our team.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Prepare, season, and cook a wide range of foods including soups, salads, entrees, and desserts according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements, ensuring cost-effective and efficient operations.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, placing orders for supplies and ingredients as needed.
  • Portion food accurately, ensure food are seasoned to enhance flavour and ensure consistency.
  • Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and served in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise the kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality service.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Adapt to dietary requirements and special requests from customers, including allergies and food intolerances.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff and apprentices as required.
Qualifications & experience:
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or relevant Diploma. At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed.
  • Required at least three (3) years of skilled experience
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food quality and safety.
Benefits & Remuneration:
  • Annual Salary: $74,000 to $76,000 AUD plus guaranteed superannuation
  • Continue to learn and gain experience. Work with a passionate and hardworking team of staff.
  • Possible sponsorship available for the right applicant. However, Australian Citizen / PR or temporary visa holders with work rights are preferred.
