Hiring Assistant Managers

The Position: 

The Assistant Managers will provide leadership and work with the other managers, supervisors, chefs and food/beverage staff. This person will be well-versed in the following:

• Running the venue during lunch and dinner services.
• Leading teams of 10-30 per service.
• Ensuring the bar and floor team is always welcoming and providing great service.
• Promote a culture of fun customer engagement, retention and strong loyalty by leading innovative and targeted initiatives, which maintains venue popularity year-round.
• Not scared to leading by example jumping in the bar and running food.
• Maintain a high standard of venue presentation and attention to detail.
• Opening and closing the venue in line with security and standard operating procedures
• Solid understanding of high-volume food and beverage outlets.
• Ability to train staff in sales and customer engagement.
• Basic understanding of labour targets and rostering 
• Assist the Venue Manager to manage and coordinate a calendar of functions and events.
• Reporting to the Venue Manager and other relevant head office staff to drive the business forward.

About you:

• A passionate career-minded hospitality worker with minimum 3 years recent experience in similar role.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Has a passion for training and up skilling staff.
• Proven managerial experience in large busy hospitality venues.
• Good time management and multitasking skills.
• Good communication, negotiation and relationship skills.
• Flexible availability to suit the needs of a hospitality business.
• Competent IT Skills
