The Position:
The Assistant Managers will provide leadership and work with the other managers, supervisors, chefs and food/beverage staff. This person will be well-versed in the following:
- Running the venue during lunch and dinner services.
- Leading teams of 10-30 per service.
- Ensuring the bar and floor team is always welcoming and providing great service.
- Promote a culture of fun customer engagement, retention and strong loyalty by leading innovative and targeted initiatives, which maintains venue popularity year-round.
- Not scared to leading by example jumping in the bar and running food.
- Maintain a high standard of venue presentation and attention to detail.
- Opening and closing the venue in line with security and standard operating procedures
- Solid understanding of high-volume food and beverage outlets.
- Ability to train staff in sales and customer engagement.
- Basic understanding of labour targets and rostering
- Assist the Venue Manager to manage and coordinate a calendar of functions and events.
- Reporting to the Venue Manager and other relevant head office staff to drive the business forward.
About you:
- A passionate career-minded hospitality worker with minimum 3 years recent experience in similar role.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Has a passion for training and up skilling staff.
- Proven managerial experience in large busy hospitality venues.
- Good time management and multitasking skills.
- Good communication, negotiation and relationship skills.
- Flexible availability to suit the needs of a hospitality business.
- Competent IT Skills
