Job tasks and responsibilities
• Assisting Construction Managers, Architects and Surveyors in planning and organization
• Interpreting plans, regulations and codes of practice
• Preparing preliminary sketches, working drawings and specifications
• Preparing, editing and revising plans, maps, charts and drawings
• Coordinating works programs
• Inspecting work and materials for compliance with specifications, regulations and standards
• Calculating costs and estimating time scales
• Collecting data using surveying instruments and photogrammetric equipment
• Maintain contact with clients during pre-sale, post-sale, and design
• Prepares and delivers estimates and cost plans for construction projects up to the tender settlement stage
• Supervises construction sites, and organizes and coordinates the material and human resources required
• Communicate with clients, contractors and suppliers by emails and phone calls
The ideal candidate will have and be:
• Residential address within 15km to Welshpool, Western Australia
• Diploma qualification or at least three years of relevant experience (overseas qualification and experience accepted)
• Work experience as a draftsperson or architect in residential and domestic projects
• Passionate about energy efficient homes and passive houses
• Very high attention to detail
• Experience with construction/renovation projects as well as high-level administration and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work autonomously and meet strict deadlines
• Exposure to the resources and or construction industry is essential
• Demonstrated track record of successfully completed residential projects
• Proficiency in Archicad, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
• Knowledge of Revit and any rendering software
• Own transport, valid drivers license, no pending fines/infringements
• Able to provide a clean AFP police clearance
• Highly Motivated
• Well-organized and able to meet deadlines
• Able to manage multiple projects at one time
