About the role
Our Utility client is seeking a skilled and motivated AEM Front End Developer to join their growing team and to help create stunning, user-friendly web applications that delight their customers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and a passion for developing high-quality web content management solutions.
Skills and Experience
- Knowledge JavaScript including ES6 features, jQuery, CSS3, Sass
- Solid understanding of HTML5 semantics, structure, and best practices
- A solid understanding of webpack, NPM tools for organizing and modularizing code
- An understanding of developing with Java or JavaScript to interface with downstream RESTful API integrations
- Experience with HTL/Sightly templating language
- Working knowledge of speed optimization such as YSlow or Page Speed
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Experience in modern JS frameworks like REACT - a bonus
- Experience with design systems and UI library integrations with AEM
- Understanding of branching, merging, and pull request workflows to collaborate effectively with team members
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices for designing inclusive and accessible web experiences.
- Experience in implementing accessible features such as semantic HTML, ARIA roles, and keyboard navigation
