Your new role

The School of Accounting, Economics and Finance is seeking an enthusiastic and efficient all-rounder with two or more years of relevant work experience to join our Administration team of five.

Our ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic, interesting and varied environment, in which no two days are the same, and will be willing to embrace new challenges as they arise.

To be successful in this role you will need to be proactive and collaborative and have strong time management skills to successfully manage and prioritise competing priorities and deadlines.  No task will be too big or small for you, and you will display keen attention to detail and take pride in your work.  Your strong interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills will enable you to work effectively with all staff, students, and visitors.

A day in this role may involve, but would not be limited to:
  • Determining and entering casual academic payroll information.
  • Providing administrative support and preparing minutes for School committees and advisory board/panel meetings.
  • Event coordination and support.
  • Project work as required.
  • Helping arrange colleagues’ business travel and visas.
  • Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders as required.
As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered. Only in limited situations will visa sponsorship situations be considered.
