About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk to join our team. This role involves managing clients, accounts payable and receivable, preparing tax returns, and handling bookkeeping for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements for various business entities.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Prepare income tax returns for individuals and businesses using HandiTax.
- Handle monthly/quarterly IAS/BAS lodgments and STP reporting.
- Perform payroll and bookkeeping tasks using Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Utilize Excel for financial reporting and calculations when necessary.
- Communicate with the ATO via the Agent Portal.
- Directly liaise with clients after completing initial training.
- Perform minimal administrative duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation, bookkeeping, and Accounts Clerk
- Strong knowledge of Xero, HandiTax, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
- Understanding of accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Must work from the office location (Remote work is not available).
